This beautiful rusty red, Vixen Fox is out hunting in the early evening around Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire. Image taken on an old Nikon 200, which made enough shutter noise to awaken the entire deeply sleeping forest. She skilfully kept me in her focus, then disappeared from view, reappearing moments later with her prey clamped tightly between her teeth, a meal, perhaps to share with her cubs.
